We were here for the 3rd time in September 2022.
It felt a bit like "coming home" again. We were greeted by Kubbe at the airport and were welcomed until... read more to departure (after 15 nights) lovingly accompanied.
Mohmed and Inthi took great care of our physical well-being.
The extensive snorkelling excursions once again fulfilled all our expectations.
We were very fortunate to have extensive encounters with manta rays (you could really call it swimming with manta rays) and spinner dolphins. The sighting of a humpback whale was an outstanding speciality even for our companions.
For us, Keyodhoo is still an authentic place in the Maldives!
Many thanks again and best wishes to the whole team!

Dream holiday - We enjoyed our 14-day stay at the Jupiter Sunrise Lodge to the full. The service was excellent. No matter whether it was fishing or excursions to lonely places.... read more islands or sandbanks, Kubbe and his team always did everything possible to make it perfect. Special thanks also go to the chef who always prepared excellent meals and also to the service staff who were always very attentive and always provided us with drinks (best iced tea & juice variations from Inthi).
The rooms are functionally equipped and were cleaned twice a day.
The house beach and the associated reef are also great and invite you to linger.
All in all, it was one of our best holidays. The reefs, sandbanks, islands and the mentality of the local people were absolutely fantastic.
Thank you for this unforgettable holiday!

A long-awaited holiday in a feel-good place - I was able to enjoy the island, the people and the logde for the 5th time. I think the fact that we have now been guests there repeatedly says a lot about how incredibly well... read more we find it, because I think you never return to a place where you don't feel 100 % comfortable and welcome.
Ivonne organised everything perfectly in advance for this trip too - many thanks for that. The journey was uncomplicated if you were well prepared and had all the documents.
The arrival at Keyoodho was, as always, very warm and the rooms were lovingly decorated. I am always particularly happy about this - how incredibly creative the boys are in decorating the beds with works of art. It's just the little things that make it so great. Many thanks for that.
During this holiday, I also tried something new for myself and went fishing. Here, too, I can only say: great. The fun, the organisation and all the trimmings - excellent. I can only recommend every woman travelling with me to go on this trip, even if you don't fish. I was thrilled. All I can say about the food and the crew in the restaurant is: very good. The fun that Marey and Inti (if that is spelt correctly) have looking after the guests is just great. The coffee after the meal is and always has been a little highlight for me.
I would also like to mention the two evenings on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Christmas Eve was to my taste - first fishing and then a good meal on the beach in a beautiful setting. On New Year's Eve, the food is organised by all the guesthouses together, which is great. The schoolyard is transformed into a large restaurant with beautifully laid tables and an amazing selection of dishes. The cultural part on the beach was rehearsed days in advance with a lot of love and dedication. We were able to hear or see this almost every evening. And I was amazed at how much dedication was put into it over the years.
Our excursions were simply well organised and there were also new culinary delights to discover. Kubbe once cooked pumpkin and once chips, which were simply delicious. The other food was always great too and I have to praise Kubbe's creativity and sense of beauty when it comes to table decorations. Respect.
I could go on writing like this for a while - but I think I've got my point across. Thank you for the wonderful holidays. They will always be unforgettable for me. I wish all the staff and the management the very best for the future. Best regards Anke

A holiday among friends - We had the opportunity to spend 12 days on this wonderful island. The decision against a resort & in favour of a "local island" was confirmed every day anew!
We... read more were welcomed from day one as if we had always been part of the island community. Every wish (some of which we didn't even realise we had) was read from our lips long before we said it.
It is almost impossible or even impossible to emphasise a single person - because the whole team is gigantic! It starts with Yvonne, who tries to make everything possible in the planning phase, continues with Kubbe, who, together with his brothers, organises everything necessary (& much more) on site & ends with the service team, the cook, who conjures up incredibly delicious food every day, the boat crew, who gave us indescribable hours on the water & the two men who made sure our home was always clean.
We have already travelled to many places, but Keyodhoo will be one of our regular stops from now on.
Even though it was very difficult to say goodbye, we are looking forward to the next reunion with great anticipation!
THANK YOU!!!

Always simply beautiful....... - Once, twice, three times, four times - that's how many times we have been able to enjoy the beauty and hospitality of the Maldives, especially at the Jupiter Sunrise Lodge. On this holiday we experienced a different... read more I chose the right time and it was just right. Spending Christmas and the New Year at this place is fantastic and I can only recommend it. I won't forget Christmas Eve in a hurry - the incredible effort the team made to give us a wonderful evening was fantastic. New Year's Eve was also a dream. The dinner at the school was super organised, well cooked, varied and very surprising. The party on the beach was something to be proud of :-). I couldn't have had a better start to the new year. This year I particularly noticed the great work of the two gentlemen who were responsible for cleaning the lodge. Thank you very much for cleaning the rooms twice a day, nice flower arrangements and a few kind words. 🙂 Big respect also to the teams who planned and organised the excursions. It was certainly not always easy to reconcile all the sensitivities of the guests. But they did an excellent job. This year there was also something new for us to discover - a great new sandbank with a great reef for diving - the coordination between the lodges was also great and we were able to dive wonderfully in the morning and relax on the sandbank for the rest of the day. Simply fantastic. It was also a great experience for my daughter and I to go out on the boat and experience the fishing live. Thanks to the crew for their patience with us :-). All in all, it was another wonderful holiday. It's difficult for me to mention anyone in particular, as every member of staff played their part. It was particularly difficult for me to say goodbye this year, as we have decided to visit other places in the world in the next few years. I will miss the Maldives, the island and the people very much - but who knows - maybe we will return to this place again. I wish all the staff at the lodge the best and hope for many happy guests.

Once, twice.... again and again. - This was our second time on this beautiful little island at the Jupiter Sunrise Lodge. You arrive and you feel at home.
I don't have to write much,... read more Everything has already been said. Food, room, service, fishing trips, snorkelling, simply everything was good.
But I have to write this: my husband fell ill while on holiday. He had to spend one night in the small clinic on the neighbouring island of Felidhoo. The medical care was good. It was great that Kubbe stayed there for the night and provided my husband with food and drinks. The next day we had to go to Male to see a doctor, but we were accompanied there too. Ice, Hape and Azzurro travelled with us and took care of everything. We were not alone. It was simply indescribably wonderful to have kind and loving people at our side in times of need. Kubbe's unexpected appearance on Thinadhoo and the shortened journey surprised and touched us very much. This extremely warm welcome made us feel a bit like coming home!

Kubbe was a constantly available, caring and knowledgeable guide and underwater photographer for us. Thanks to his guidance, we were once again able to see the diverse world of fish, especially manta rays, stingrays and eagle rays, various sharks, turtles, .

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Of course, I had great reservations before my first visit.
What do I wear as a woman on a Lokal Island? No beer? No cocktail?
What will there be to eat?
All unfounded!!!!!!!
Women can wear shorts and a T-shirt without any problems!
Shoulders should be covered outside the lodge.
And if you fancy a beer, there's non-alcoholic beer in the fridge!
Kubbe was cooking in our day!
He is a genius in the kitchen!
He even managed to make chicken schnitzel (for our youngest) incredibly well! Thank you Kubbe!!!!!
There is a café at the harbour where you can sit and watch the hustle and bustle in the harbour!

Of course we went fishing on Keyodhoo and, just like last time, we caught some very good fish!

Great fishing and incredible hospitality - The Jupiter Sunriselodge is always a highlight for us when it comes to fishing and relaxing. Monky, our captain, and his perfectly coordinated crew always bring us to the fish.... read more They always cater to the wishes of the anglers so that anyone with a little fishing experience can land their fish. In the afternoon you can go snorkelling at the hotel's own atoll, where you can see small sharks, lots of turtles, moray eels and 1000s of colourful fish. The resort is very clean and the staff are incredibly courteous. There are also many activities on offer for non-anglers, but it is important to realise that this is a very small island inhabited exclusively by locals. Shopping is limited, but you get a lot of impressions of daily life. The island is always worth a visit, perfect if you want to spend a week there and then move on to a resort or a boat. Best wishes to Monky, Hassan, Kube, Bondo, Harif and the rest of the gang!

Kubbe took good care of the children during snorkelling trips, so that we parents could also marvel at the indescribably beautiful underwater world without any worries. There is something for every taste, and every evening the staff take extra time to plan the next day and its excursions individually. The organisation is very good and if an excursion could not take place on the desired day due to the weather, an alternative plan was presented and the desired excursion was made up for at another time: Robinson Crusoe feeling when visiting a deserted island, fishing experiences during night fishing, a catch that was impressive, even for the inexperienced angler, and we were not disappointed when snorkelling either. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and the long journey was definitely worth it. A wonderful holiday! You don't live in isolation in a resort, but get to experience typical Maldivian life up close. The friendliness of the Maldivians is evident in their dealings with holidaymakers and the staff really go out of their way to make you feel at home. The JS Lodge is indeed very familiar, you feel at home. A few steps away from the lodge, you can take a seat on the typical Maldivian seating, relax and marvel at the coconut palms. The sand is wonderfully white, the food is delicious and the rooms are cosy and always well maintained! The whole island is quiet and there is no hustle and bustle. You come back from your holiday really relaxed, we would definitely like to come back again if we get the chance!

Incredibly GENIUS! - This is Erik (23), I spent 10 nights at Jupiter Sunrise Lodge for big game fishing.
The accommodation is absolutely amazing, simple and incredibly comfortable. One... read more has everything you need to be happy (including air conditioning).
The team is the absolute top burner, you are treated like a king in his castle, the chef conjures up the finest Maldivian dishes three times a day, including vegetarian options! The staff are incredibly friendly, kind, informal and always try to fulfil the guest's every wish.
The excursions outside of fishing are amazing, the guide Kubbe took us to incredibly beautiful, secluded beaches with turquoise-blue water, just like in paradise - all free of charge, by the way
And now the most important thing: fishing
The fishing guides are, without exception, absolutely amazing - they go to such incredible lengths to catch and find fish that it almost seems kitschy - I caught everything the Indian Ocean has to offer seasonally: Stately GTs, super nice yellow fin tunas, bluefin trevallies, emperors, groupers, wahoos, huge garfish and much more.
If you love fishing, you should come here if you don't have your own rods, you can borrow some for free, bait is available at fair prices in a small, well-stocked fishing shop in the lodge (poppers, stickbaits, hooks and all the small items you need).
An absolutely amazing fishing experience at good prices.
I will never forget this holiday again and when I have travelled to a few more countries for fishing, I will come back to the Jupiter Sunrise Lodge.
Thanks for everything to this great team, leaving was the worst day of my life
Kind regards from Bavaria

"come as a guest, leave as a friend" - "come as a guest, leave as a friend" - many hotels advertise with this slogan.
After travelling a lot, I can say that this no longer applies to me anywhere... read more than at the Jupiter Sunrise Lodge in the Maldives. The warmth, friendliness and joy of the staff at this enchanting guest house are indescribable. They always endeavour to make their guests happy and give them unforgettable days, which they succeed in doing every day.
The island of Keyodhoo is a place of tranquillity with friendly inhabitants. Delightful sandy lanes with lush flowers on the houses, you can see the sea from almost everywhere. Numerous cafés and bars offer a pleasant atmosphere and great non-alcoholic drinks to round off the day. The fishing boats rock gently in the harbour while the sun sinks into the sea behind them in a blaze of yellow and red colours.
The air-conditioned guest rooms at the Jupiter Sunrise Lodge have everything you need, plus a spacious coffee kitchen and a cosy garden with comfortable seating.
The white sandy beach fringed by turquoise-coloured sea is just a short walk away.
The restaurant serves a wide variety of delicacies every day, especially great fish.
The staff in the restaurant are incredibly friendly, endeavour to tell you lots of interesting things about island life and also answer many questions about the life of the locals on Keyodhoo. Every meal was a pleasure and a delight, and the friendliness of the staff is unrivalled.
The highlights of my stay were above all the many excursions by boat to the fantastic and intact reefs with an incredible variety of underwater species.
My snorkelling guide and his great boat crew gave me animal encounters that I will never forget.
We swam with schools of fish and turtles, different sharks, various rays, lots of dolphins and, above all, we were lucky enough to snorkel with manta rays.
The encounter with the leopard sharks was also breathtaking.
The snorkelling guide sees everything (that you miss yourself!!!) shows and explains everything and is guaranteed to take the best photos (thousands, at least )
Visits to a deserted island, a sandbank, a neighbouring island and the adventurous shipwreck with its colourful schools of fish - all unforgettable.
The great lunch ideas the boat crew conjured up were phenomenal. From lunch with a parasol and a table set with flowers on the sandbank far out at sea, lunch on the boat, lunch on or in the water or dinner on the beach - I am still blown away by the wealth of ideas for creating unforgettable moments and memories.
A holiday far away from mass tourism with insights into authentic Maldivian village life, kitschy beautiful islands with snow-white sand and the glittering sea in various shades of turquoise and blue with gentle waves, sun and joie de vivre.
Thank you Jupiter Sunrise Lodge, you made my heart smile.
